Earlier this month in Chicago, Coppersmith had a four-person strong delegation in attendance at the 40th anniversary IPATA Conference which was held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago.

Coppersmith is proud to have been a gold sponsor of the event which drew attendees from all over the world to discuss the issues of safe pet and animal transportation by air.

In attendance – and pictured from left to right – are myself, Lisa Gingerich (Chicago Branch Manager), Lenny Fishman (JFK Branch Manager) and Tammy Gabehart (Houston Branch Manager).

IPATA posted a comprehensive recap of the event which you can read here, but suffice it to say the emphasis was on the continued awareness of the importance of pet safety, the increasing visibility of how IPATA members conduct their business and understanding that the use of social media today means that we must all be attuned to providing great, transparent and prompt customer service for pet shippers who aren’t responsible for knowing the intricacies of the shipping business, but who are most concerned about being reunited with their animal.

At Coppersmith, we like to say that we specialize in family reunions. Working closely with our airline partners, our teams at our branch offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Houston Chicago and Atlanta are committed to preparing for an animal’s arrival while they are on their way to the United States and have been released by all the relevant government agencies by the time they can be picked up by their owners.
