Bud Coppersmith and Bobby Shaida attended the International Pet and Animal Transport Association’s (IPATA) conference in Dubai, UAE. Coppersmith’s dedication to rapidly clearing animals through customs is unparalleled in the shipping industry. Animal lovers themselves, Coppersmith ensures all pets are treated with the same attention to detail and urgency that they want their own fur babies treated if they have to travel. Speaking with so many professionals in one location was a real treat for the Coppersmith representatives, as pet safety is the topic that brings together the very best people.

The IPATA association is dedicated to the safe and humane transport of live pets throughout the world, and the annual conference, which rotates to different regions, had the highest attendance ever in 2023, with more than 400 attendees.

This conference provided a great opportunity to meet with agents who are experts in pet transportation and attend educational sessions focused on how to make the process of relocating a family’s pet to his new home elsewhere in the world safe and secure.  Topics like preparing your pet for transport, shipping container regulations, and the safe shipping of Brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds are universally important topics to protect all animals on their journey.

Though Bud and Bobby soaked up excellence in animal shipments, they still had time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Dubai. During the trip, the men took some time to visit agents, go dune bashing in the Sahara Desert, and ride up to the 137th floor of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. They look forward to attending again next year in Budapest and building even more safety into the pet shipping process.
Contact your Coppersmith representative today if you have any questions or concerns about a pet shipment or other live animal customs clearance. We’re happy to help get your fur babies safely to their destination on time, every time.
